Red Admiral     v.s. Gatekeeper

The Red Admiral is dark brown with bright red stripes. The underside of the Red Admiral has colorful patterns. The Red Admiral is found general or widespread in Ireland on June, August, and September. The Gatekeeper is mainly orange with dark brown borders. It has one eyespot on each wing. The Gatekeeper is found in the South- east coastal counties of Ireland. They are usually found in July and August on meadows.
