IN THE WAR

In the war African Americans were were volunteering to fight against the confederate states officious because they were trying to keep slavery but the union states led by Lincoln were trying to get ride of slavery not everybody in the union states agreed but most of them did

almost 180,000 African Americans fought in the civil war serving in the union army against the confederate states and also a lot other African Americans served in the union navy. both free African Americans and run away African Americans joined the war to fight against slavery.
